In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian, St. John Fisher School is raising money to support relief and rebuilding efforts in Treasure Cay, Abacos Islands. A friend of one of our faculty members has personally been flying emergency supplies into Treasure Cay, evacuating displaced Bahamians and helping on the ground. Reports suggest that rebuilding will likely take many months.
Student Council sponsored an Island Attire Day on Friday, September 13. For a minimum $5 donation, students wore island-inspired dress on this day. Popsicles were sold for $1. All proceeds will be donated to the Treasure Cay Community Foundation. TCCF is an established US 501(c)(3) charitable organization and is approved to accept donations that are deductible for US taxpayers.
